SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
SCHOLARSHIP BACKGROUND
The Benjamin Banneker Development Corporation's (BBDC)
Richard Tucker Memorial Scholarship Fund program started in 2011. It was the initiative of Richard Tucker, our late President, to carry out the company's mission to help improve the community through our philanthropic work. The company made a commitment to award D.C. Public High School Seniors, each year, with financial assistance to continue their education in College, University, Community College, and Vocational School.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS
BBDC will award scholarships in the amount of
$2,500 (two thousand, five hundred dollars) to
graduating D.C. Public High School Seniors within the
District of Columbia. Scholarship recipients and two guests will be invited to the BBDC Scholarship Award luncheon in
June of the graduating year to receive their certificates and interact with other winners of the scholarship award.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Open to all students who are D.C. residents and enrolled in a D.C. Public-School.
- Minimum 2.3 GPA
- Must Complete the Online Submission Form
